DESCRIPTION
C&C Yachts is based out of Ontario Canada and built very progressive and performance-based designs during the 1970’s and 80’s.
The C&C 35 set the benchmark for what has become the racer/cruiser and the 35 really helped C&C yachts to become one of the largest production sailboat builders of its time.
The MK III was built between 1981 and 1985 and designed by Robert Ball. The MK III is a completely new design that replaced C&C’s original 35 MKI and MKII. The MKIII is very quick (127 phrf) and points extremely well in 38-42 degrees. She carries speed in light air of 5knots up to 25knots. She is responsive with a large skeg, can back up easily for a 35 footer, and has the classic lines of 1980’s sailboats.
SEAO (CEO) is a great example of a later model C&C MK III which is in very good condition. She has a newer genoa (2016), new electronics, and interior upholstery updated in 2018.
She is a comfortable coastal cruiser/racer and has great accommodations long term for a couple, or family shorter term. The V-berth is spacious for her size, with a nice salon (wraparound settee to port), and has a large nav station with good storage with a quarterberth to starboard.
