DESCRIPTION

The 1960 Miami-Nassau powerboat race started it all. Richard Bertram designed and commissioned a 30ft wooden deep-vee hull off of a 23ft boat that he saw slicing through 6ft waves. He ended up taking this initial 30ft wooden boat, called Moppie, and won the 1960 race running through 8 foot seas and steady 30 knots of wind.

After winning the race Bertram turned the hull design into a fiberglass mold and the infamous 31 was born. 1,860 Bertram 31’s were made over 16 years. Dream Boat is the flybridge cruiser version made in 1984.

Dream Boat is 16,000lbs, will cruise at 25-26 mph at 3,200 RPM (~20 GPH) and is the ultimate fishing or cruising boat. Not many Bertram’s are found in the PNW, so this could be a great opportunity to buy a classic.

Dream Boat was purchased by the current owner in 2017 and spent 6 years refitting her. The current owner has $50K in receipts and another $110K in receipts from the previous owner as well.
