DESCRIPTION

A’Bientot was imported into Seattle in 1977, but her original owners soon moved her to the Sea of Cortez. They lived on her for half the year, and then sold the boat to another couple who utilized her similarly before shipping her back to the San Juan Islands in 2002. She was then sold in 2003 to the previous owner who sailed her throughout the San Juans and Puget Sound for 18 years before being sold in 2023. The current owner has utilized her as a second residence and has worked on cleaning up both the bilges and engine room.

A’Bientot is a ketch with a hard dodger designed for Pacific Northwest sailing. As you go down the companionway the fridge is to starboard and the remainder of the galley to port. There is a wraparound settee to port that extends into a berth and the settee to starboard has a built-in sea berth.

The wet head is just forward and to the port side with a manual jabsco toilet. There is storage to the starboard side of the head and then a v-berth that will fit two adults all the way forward.

A’Bientot will need extensive work if the goal is to consistently cruise. She will likely need an engine replacement and potential transmission at that point. She does start up right away but to be consistently reliable for cruising it is recommended to refit.
